Job description:


This Front Desk Agent position requires a candidate with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach. The ability to efficiently use hotel management software and handle various administrative tasks is crucial for success in this role. A high school diploma is required, and additional certification or relevant academic background in hospitality is an asset.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
2. Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, providing necessary information.
3. Manage reservations, ensuring accuracy and addressing guest inquiries.
4. Answer phone calls and redirect them appropriately, taking messages when necessary.
5. Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
6. Handle guest complaints and concerns, striving for prompt and effective resolution.
7. Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, ensuring a positive first impression.
8. Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
9. Process payments accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
10. Keep up-to-date records of room availability and guest accounts.

Salary:

17.76 hourly /  32 hours per Week

Experience

Experience an asset

Software Knowledge:

1. Proficient in using hotel management software for reservations and check-ins.

2.Computerized bookkeeping systems.

3. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks.

4. Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology.

Academic Background:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. Additional certification in hospitality or related field is a plus.

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
