Job Title: Roofer Helper

Number of Positions: 4

Terms of Employment: Full-Time/Permanent

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Wage: $28.85-30.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Location of Work: Various locations across Lower Mainland.

Job Duties:

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
• Mix, pour and spread materials
• Assist tradespersons such as roofers and glaziers in construction activities
• Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
• Assist in carrying heavy equipment
• Help roofers to do layout
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

Skills Requirements

Education: No Formal Education required.

Experience: No Experience required.

***Experience working on construction sites would be considered an asset.

Language: Basic English is required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive Tasks, physically demanding requires, handling heavy loads, requires lifting, Pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects, Standing for long period of time
