We, Highway King Transport Ltd., are hiring Long Haul Truck Drivers
2160 Peardonville Rd Abbotsford BC V2T 6J8
Salary: $27.50 (depending on experience) for 40-60 hours per week
Experience: Experience an asset

Credentials (certificates, licenses): Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Type of trucking and equipment Straight truck (4600 kg + 10000 lbs+with 3+ axles), Tractor Trailer

Weight handling Upto 23 kg
Experience: Experience an asset. On job training will be provided

Transportation/travel experience
Long-haul, National, Provincial/territorial, Regional

Documentation knowledge
Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports

Tasks
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Load and unload goods, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Perform preventive maintenance, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Transport and handle dangerous goods

Transportation/travel information
Drive manual transmission vehicle, Valid driver's license, Willing to travel for extended periods,Willing to travel overnight
