Nature of position: â€‹Permanent, full-time (31 to 40 hours per week)

 

Wage: â€‹$28 per hour

 

Other compensation:​Possibility of performance-related bonuses at the discretion of the employers, based on metrics relevant to the role.

 

Vacation: â€‹4% in lieu of paid vacation

JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position: 

 

 Supervise and care for children in the employers residence.
 Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
 Prepare formulas and change diapers for infants.
 Plan, prepare, and serve meals for children.
 Perform other housekeeping duties related to children.
 Oversee childrens activities, such as meals and rest periods.
 Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
 Instruct children in personal hygiene.
 Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development.
 Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
 Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings.
 Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.

 

REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience: 

 

 Completion of secondary school.
 Training program in childcare or a related field, completed or in progress.
 Minimum two years of experience (full-time or equivalent) as a caregiver in a private household.
 Experience working as a caregiver in a household with multiple children under fiveyears old.
 Non-caregiving experience with children in an educational and/or clinic environment is preferred.
 First Aid and CPR certification.
 Food safety certification is preferred.
 Flexibility and willingness to work longer hours at the discretion of the employers.
