 Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

 Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

 Salary:$18.00/hour. Overtime rate of $27.00/hour after 40 hours per week.

 Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Requirements: 

Language: Functional English

Education: Completion of Secondary (high) School

Experience:

2 years to less than 3 years’ experience in commercial baking or

Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers or

Completion of a college or other program for bakers.

Job Description:

• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders

• Bake mixed doughs and batters

• Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods

• Ensure quality of products meets established standards

• Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce

• Purchase baking supplies, 

• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

• May oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods

• May train and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff

• Operate machinery

• Prepare special orders

• Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure
