Celebrating its 50th year as a leader in the HVAC & Plumbing industries in the lower mainland, BC Comfort Air Conditioning Ltd. is seeking to fill the role of Construction Manager’s Assistant.
The ideal candidates should be dependable, organized, work well in a team environment, and show a sense of pride in their work.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining databases and spreadsheets.
- Checking supplies coming into the facility and inventory order to ensure accuracy.
- Dispatching/coordinating construction delivery driver.
- Providing administrative support to ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of the Construction department.
- Assist warehouse team in ordering supplies, ensuring items are kept stocked and organization of yard/incoming equipment.
- HVAC and Plumbing permit applications.
- Warranty Billing.
- Fleet Management.
- Tool Management.
- Scissor Lift Coordination/Maintenance.
- Duties and responsibilities may change as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1- 2 years’ experience working in similar role/industry.
- Experience with VeriClock, Sling, ShareMyToolbox, and Samsara required.
- Bachelor degree is required but Master’s degree preferred.
- Highly organized and has a knack for prioritizing.
- Experience in submitting/filing WorkSafeBC claims.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and databases
- Forklift license preferred.
- Blueprint reading experience required.
- Capacity to work as part of a team of office employees in a busy environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines while ensuring high standards of accuracy.
- Experience in applying for plumbing, gas, and boiler permits in the lower mainland area is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions provided by Managers or other senior members of staff.
- Ability to problem solve quickly and accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills exhibited through personal, phone, or email contact.
- Emergency First-Aid Certified.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with staff across multiple departments.
- Basic understanding of construction.
- Experience with AP/AR is an asset.
- BC Driver’s License is an asset.
Schedule:
6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Monday to Friday
No weekends
Job Type: Full-time and permanent
Salary: $53,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
