Job description:

We are looking for an accountable and experienced General supervisor - building construction to join our team to perform a variety of tasks and oversee the construction process to ensure its successful completion.

What you will do

In this role, your responsibilities include completing construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff.

• Provide site supervision and management of construction projects.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents throughout the construction process.
• Create strategies for adhering to work schedules and coordinating tasks with other subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance to CCDC construction contracts.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Address issues at work and make suggestions for ways to increase output and the caliber of the output.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect the progress of work, identify and address any issues or challenges, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Train or arrange for training of workers.
• Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed.

Your experience and educational background:

• Completion of high school.
• 3 years of experience in the Construction Industry.
• 2 years experience as construction supervisor

Work Conditions

• Travel to off-site locations as required.
• Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots.
• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
