Job Title - Heavy-duty equipment mechanic

Wages - CAD$41.00/hour

Date of Joining- As soon as possible

Terms of Employment - Permanent, Full-Time, 30-40 hours per week

Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Language - English

Experience - 3 years to less than 5 years

Work Site Environment - Noisy, Dusty, Outdoors

Work conditions and physical capabilities - Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Standing for extended periods

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Order parts and maintain inventory
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Welding experience
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks
- Service attachments and working tools
- Verify and repair emission control systems
