Restaurant Manager

Taiwan Restaurant is a distinguished restaurant with commitment to high standards and outstanding service, invites passionate individuals to join our team in delivering an authentic and delightful Chinese culinary experience. We are seeking a full-time permanent experienced restaurant manager to join our team. The work location is at 15 High Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize, control and evaluate the operations of the restaurant, including inventory, sales, procedures and prices

• Offer outstanding services and implement operational procedures

• Recruit and coach staff 

• Supervising and directing staff’ work schedule and performance in daily activities

• Resolve customer complaints 

• Ensure service quality and comply with government’s health and safety regulations 

• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

• Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities 

Skills & Qualification:

• Completion of a community college program in hospitality or food and beverage service management or a related field 

• 1 years’ experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.

• Excellent management of financial and material resources

• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

• Attention to detail, leadership, client-oriented, multi-tasking

• Basic computer skills

• Proficient in English

• Fluent in a second language will be an asset

Job Type:  

Full time, Permanent

Compensation:

• The wage for this position is $21.00 per hour

• Work hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week

• 10 days of vacation yearly or 4% of annual remuneration
