Position: Truck Dispatcher

Number of Positions Available: 1

Requirements:

Education: Completion of High School Education is required.

Experience: Previous related experience would be considered as an asset but not mandatory. On job training will be provided

Knowledge of English

Wages: $28.00/hr for 40hrs/week +4% Vacation Pay

Job Duties:

• Maintain work records and logs
• Monitor personnel workloads and locations
• Perform general office duties
• Provide customer service
• Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
• Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations
• Handle wake-up calls
• Keep track of shipments
• Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
• Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
• Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
• Receive requests for emergency assistance or service
• Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses
