Position Description

Position: Painter Helper

Type of employment: Full-time; Permanent

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Overtime and Vacation Pay

No of positions: 3

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland, BC

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bring tools to painters like a step ladder, extension ladder, extension pole, paint trays etc.
  • Help painters in mixing paints, using the right proportions and colour.
  • Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.
  • Clean the surfaces before and after the job is done.
  • Load and unload painting materials and move them to the site.
  • Help painters open the pails and pour them into paint drums to ensure the uniformity of the paints.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist in preparing surfaces by sanding, filling holes, and repairing imperfections.
  • Work collaboratively with the painting team to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage and restock paint and equipment inventory.
  • Perform other duties as instructed.

 

Job Requirements

  • No Experience is needed; we will train.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and follow direction.
  • Positive and constructive attitude in the workplace.
  • Safety-conscious approach and adherence to protocols.
