Number of Positions: 3

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Expected start date: As soon as possible.

Work locations: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Surrey BC, and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Job duties:

• Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, leveling, and marking them.
• Apply and spread adhesives like mortar, cement, or glue with precision using a hand trowel.
• Set tiles in position and apply pressure to affix tiles to the base.
• Ensure correct tile alignment using leveling tools, squares, and straight edges.
• Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstructions and openings using hand and power-cutting tools.
• Fill grout gaps between tiles and trim any extra grout.
• Adhere tiles to various surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings, and roof decks, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
• Handle marble and granite materials, including cutting, polishing, and installation with extreme attention to detail.
• Remove and replace damaged tiles promptly and efficiently.

Job requirements:

• Completion of Secondary school would be considered an asset but not mandatory.
• Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program in the trade OR minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar trade.
• Ability to communicate in English.
