Job description:
2499998 Ontario Inc. O/A ABC Network Consultants located at 27 Forestgrove Circle, Brampton, Ontario L6Z 4T3 requires 1 Information Technology (IT) Security Analyst on a Permanent full-time basis. Wage: $ 42 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours or above per week. Must have over 5 years of experience as a IT Security Analyst. Additionally, 10 paid vacations and 10 sick leaves will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Security Monitoring and Analysis:
- Continuously monitor network traffic, logs, and security alerts for signs of suspicious or malicious activity.
- Analyze security incidents, investigate security breaches, and determine the extent of the damage.
- Security Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and configure security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
- Ensure that security devices and software are up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
- Incident Response:
- Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures to address security incidents promptly.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies, such as law enforcement, in the event of a significant security incident.
- Vulnerability Management:
- Identify and assess vulnerabilities in the network and systems.
- Develop and execute plans to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain a secure network environment.
- Security Policy and Compliance:
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Security Awareness and Training:
- Educate employees on security best practices and conduct security awareness training programs.
- Documentation:
- Maintain documentation of security procedures, incident reports, and security configurations.
- Threat Intelligence:
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities by monitoring threat intelligence sources.
- Network Architecture Review:
- Review and assess network architecture for security weaknesses and recommend improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field is typically required. If not, then should have relevant experience for >10 years.
- Certifications:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Experience: More than 5 years of experience in network security is required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
- Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Well versed with Visio, Virtualization and Wireshark.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess security risks and respond to security incidents effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document security policies, write incident reports, and communicate with colleagues and management.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with IT and cybersecurity professionals.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Adaptability: The ability to stay up to date with evolving security threats and technologies.
