Job description:

Kooner Trucking Ltd. a well-established Surrey based Trucking Company which provides transportation of Construction Materials all over Canada is looking for Full-time, permanent General Manager, Trucking Company (NOC: 00015)

Requirements:

• Completion of bachelor’s degree is required. Any higher education would be considered as an asset.
• More than 5 years of experience of handling and managing supervisor or managerial positions. Experience in related industry sector would be considered as an asset.
• Good Command over English Language.

Compensation Package: $55.00 per hour for 30 hours per week + 10 days of paid leave per year + 5 days of sick leave per year.

• Must be able to perform multi-task.
• Efficient interpersonal skills, Organized, Flexibility, Team Player
• Key Skills required such as fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, attention to detail, large workload.
• Able to handle and manage team of more than 10 peoples.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Budget handling Skills
• One must be a skilled problem solver, capable of addressing challenges.
• Working Knowledge about Microsoft applications.

Job responsibilities:

• Allocate human and financial resources strategically to execute organizational policies and programs effectively.
• Responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the company by creating long-term plans and goals to ensure the organization's success.
• Lead and manage teams of employees by hiring, training, or recruiting them. Ensuring that they are motivated, productive, and aligned with the company's goals.
• Often responsible for identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets for growth.
• Oversee the financial health of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, and managing expenses to maximize profitability.
• Ensuring that the organization complies with relevant laws and regulations is crucial. 
• Assessing the performance of different departments and teams to make necessary adjustments for improvement.
• Need to be prepared to handle crises and unexpected challenges that may arise.
• Make sure all departments of the company are running smoothly.
• Able to solve problems as arises between employees and clients independently.

• Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
