Job description:

Primary location: 1-2245 Midland Ave, Scarborough, ON M1P 4P9

Secondary location: 110 Mack Ave, Scarborough, ON M1L 1N3

Third location: 60 Emblem Ct, Scarborough, ON M1S 1S1

Salary: $18 to $24 per hour for 40 to 44 hours per week

Vacancies: 5

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time

Job requirements:

Experience: 2 years or more

Job duties:

01) Load and off-load machines

02) Notify supervisor of equipment malfunctions

03) Operate and feed a variety of machines

04) Cut fabric to specifications

05) Set up, maintain and make minor repairs to machinery

06) Clean machines and immediate work areas

07) Investigate machine stoppages

08) Assist machine operators and other textile workers as required

09) Cut and prepare fabric samples

10) Adjust cutting technique to type of fabric and style of garment

11) Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards

12) Shave hides to uniform thickness

13) Shear hides to specified length
