As a Bengali Restaurant Chef, your primary role will involve curating and executing authentic Bengali dishes while upholding the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Menu Development: In this key role, you will be responsible for crafting innovative Bengali menus that pay homage to the rich culinary traditions of the region. Your creativity will shine as you introduce seasonal variations and modern twists to traditional Bengali dishes.
• Food Preparation and Cooking: Demonstrate precision and attention to detail in preparing, cooking, and presenting Bengali dishes. Ensure strict adherence to recipes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
• Ingredient Sourcing and Quality Control: Elevate our culinary offerings by sourcing high-quality, authentic Bengali ingredients and spices. Implement robust quality control measures to guarantee the freshness and authenticity of our dishes.
• Kitchen Management: Take charge of the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow. Share your expertise by training and mentoring kitchen staff on Bengali cooking techniques and recipes.
• Cultural Awareness: Demonstrate a profound understanding of Bengali culinary traditions, regional variations, and cultural nuances. Stay abreast of current trends and innovations within Bengali cuisine to infuse a contemporary touch into our offerings.
• Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a pristine and organized kitchen environment, strictly adhering to hygiene and safety standards. Enforce proper food handling and sanitation practices to uphold our commitment to excellence.
• Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with restaurant management to enhance the overall dining experience for our customers. Engage with patrons by explaining Bengali dishes and catering to specific preferences.
• Collaboration: Forge strong partnerships with other kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless coordination. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable ingredient sourcing.

Requirements:

- Minimum post-secondary graduation in any field.

- Proven 3+ years of experience as a Chef specializing in Bengali cuisine.

- In-depth knowledge of Bengali culinary techniques, flavors, and traditional dishes.

- Proficiency in both Bengali and English languages is a must.

- Strong organizational and leadership skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hot, and noisy environment while maintaining composure.

- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.

- Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience.
